Jaye Hohman founded his namesake mortgage company, Hohman Finance LLC, in 2024 following ten years of originating and managing mortgage origination teams in Dallas. Prior to that, he led mortgage bond investment banking and trading activity in New York City. His analytic strategies have yielded excellent results for both institutional and consumer clients for over 25 years.

Born and raised in Indiana, Jaye Hohman began his Wall Street career in 1996 brokering US Treasuries in the bond pits at The World Trade Center. Over the next fifteen years he developed his craft of mortgage-backed securities while at Bear Stearns and other primary and secondary dealers.

Throughout that time, he built a career advising institutional money managers how to improve their asset/liability management strategies utilizing mortgage-backed securities [MBS] in their investment portfolios. He eventually headed several MBS derivative trading desks and led the investment banking platform of a foreign mortgage securitization conduit.

Since 2014, Jaye has originated home loans and supervised teams of residential mortgage originators on consumer direct, retail and wholesale lending platforms in Dallas.

His range of experience in the mortgage industry provides a unique perspective and cohesive understanding of how to maximize the financial benefits of mortgages while limiting the interest rate risk for both consumers and investors.
